Miles Garrett Cabernet Sauvignon

New school California, with an old-school vibe. Or something like that. Miles Garrett is working away in the Humboldt County AVA (far north coast California) among less than 10 other winegrowers, and even fewer who do thinks the way he does; that is to say, farming biodynamically without irrigating. His wines speak to their respective varieties, while remaining restrained and light on their feet, having been picked at appropriate (but not over) ripeness and fermented in neutral vessels. His Cabernet Sauvignon delivers on crunchy, intense red currant, blackberry and nulberry notes. It's the tannin and acid structure which prevents this beauty from being a fruit bomb. We're in love!
