TASTING NOTES
Situated 30 km southwest of Strasbourg, J.M. Sohler is a boutique estate family producer nestled in the hamlet of Blienschwiller. This rosé comes entirely from Pinot Noir, and was gently whole bunch pressed before resting on lees until the following spring, when it heads to the bottle and a minimum 24 months rest on lees. This was disgorged to order, though the base year and disgorge date is not shown on the label.
Ripe strawberry, cherry, mandarin rules the silken palate, with fine bubbles, and finer spicing through a brief, bitter kissed finish.
